How to walk

Tread lightly, human.

Leave footprints in places and allow parts of yourselves to stay with people you encounter. Let the world know that you arrived, but do not be obnoxious about your entrance.

You are only here for a moment.

Tread lightly. Cup your hands and lower them into streams, ghost your fingers over flowers and trees, close your eyes and smell the morning dew, hear the leaves of the trees as they yearn to grab a piece of the sun, feel the clouds descend and wrap themselves around you like a newborn.

Know that you are here for now.

And now is more than enough.

Tread lightly. Do not injure yourself through recklessness. This is not yours alone. Give reverence to those who came before, to those who will follow, to those who are with you.

You are going to make change whatever you do – ripples and waves and tsunamis of change.

And so if you want to make sure that the world will be fine when you leave it, tread lightly.
